Manukau Beautification

Yesterday we went to clean graffiti up under a bridge in Pakuranga.

Before we went Barbara and some police talked to us about graffiti.

The painting was so much fun for everyone that Bo and I were singing and dancing to entertain everyone.

Today I still have paint in my hair.

The Hare and the Tortoise

The tortoise and the hare

One day a hare wanted to race a tortoise. "Well ok," said the tortoise. So the hare made a finish line and a start line and then they stood at the start line.

"On your marks, get set, go!" The hare sprinted off leaving the tortoise choking in his dust.

5 minutes later the hare was puffed and said,"I think I might have a little snooze." He fell asleep. While he was having a sleep the tortoise caught up and passed the hare. The tortoise won the race.

The hare woke up from his sleep and thought," I better run." He made it to the finish but what he did not see was that the tortoise was laughing hard out and that made the hare so angry that he wanted another race in two weeks time. The hare thought he had better start practising.

Nightmare

It looked old, ugly, wrinkly, rotten and smelly.

It had bugs coming through its body and was green in colour.

He had vampire teeth with an arrow through his head and blood oozing from the wound.

He has no ears, no nose, blonde hair, bloodshot eyes and he is..... under your bed right now!!

With a knife.

BOO!!!

NIKAU CAVES
On Tuesday the 1st of September my class room 2 and room 4 went to Nikau Caves. We had to get up very early in the morning, which I wasn’t very happy about, but I was excited to be going on a trip so it was okay. We travelled there in the school vans, each class had their own van, and the ride there was as bumpy as a rollercoaster.
As soon as we got there, I was trying to be Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk and accidently stepped on Joe, the dog’s, tail and he nearly bit me. While we were waiting for room 4 we went on a bush walk and crossed a little swing bridge. It was broken and leaned sideways and was scary. We had to find numbers in the bush to keep us on the track and it was hard at times to find them.
When finally it was our turn to go to the caves, I fell over walking there. When we got inside the caves, we had to get into ice cold water. The cave was very small and I am claustrophobic, so I had to go behind Rob and he helped me through by shining his torch, so I could see where I was going. I was scared and cried in the crawling space but Luke helped me by going in front of me and Miss Stuart was cheering me along with Rob was communicating with me. I finally did it!!!
On our way home we were wet as and it was brbrbrbrbr......cold. My favourite part of the outing was playing with the lamb. Most of us were quiet in the van after an awesome, exciting and tiring day.....bzzzzzzzzzzz.
